arkham city batman action figure review
here’s arkham city bats, based of the latest video game. this is made by mattel and is under the “batman legacy” line sold in a 2pk with AC catwoman.
articulation - standard DCUC articulation. but the sculpting on the legs limits his movement and makes him not as flexible as the regular DCUC figs.
paint - paint apps are good. pretty identical to the game counterpart. i really love the chest emblem, its done extremely well. i know some people have a grip about bats having painted eyes; though i probably agree that i prefer them ‘whited out’, its not that big of a deal.
detail and sculpt - again, pretty accurate to the game batman. definitely a plus if you’re a fan of the game but personally i don’t like this costume design. If the 4H sculpted this (since it is mattel) i don’t think their style works with this game batman. i do wish he had a pair of open hands or at least one open hand to hold a batarang or other bat gadgets.
as far as the figure itself? i do like the sculpted belt and gloves! they both have alot of detailing on it. it would have been nice to have an open hand.
the details on the boots are nice too.
accessories - and since batman has no open hands he doesn’t come with anything. this is a bit of a disappointment since catwoman came with her whip.
price - $34.99 online. there are two versions, the other that is black and white, most people want the painted version since catwoman is a very sought out figure.
overall, bats is a very accurate rendition of his video game counterpart. he’s a bit larger than other DCUC but its not that big of a deal. the sculpting is excellent but for the price? i just wish he came with some alternate hands and some gadgets from the video game.
